Order of the Arrow Update

OA Unit Elections – Has your unit had its OA election yet?

Order of the Arrow “Ordeal Candidates” are chosen by their fellow scouters in a special OA “Unit Election” process.  The results of this process are typically revealed in a special “Call-Out” ceremony.  Many troops utilize the ceremonies provided during the summer camp Friday night campfire program.  Those who would like to take advantage of this opportunity should schedule their unit election at an appropriate time.  We are starting a new season of OA Unit elections; don’t be left out.  Go to our Elections page. Then contact the Chapter Unit Elections Chairman, Ryan, at election@takachsin.net to schedule your election.

OA Chapter Election Team

We are looking for additional youth members wising to serve as an elections team representatives.  If you want an easy way to get involved and serve your chapter/lodge, contact Ryan and attend chapter meetings.

OA Chapter Ceremony

Many of you are familiar with the Summer Camp “Call-Out” ceremony.  For those who may want a smaller, more intimate venue, the Takachsin Chapter has a ceremony team that is able to provide an enhanced experience for a limited number of troops.

We also perform Arrow of Light and/or crossover ceremonies for packs.  We ask you to schedule 30 days in advance if possible.  Contact the Chapter Ceremonies Chairman, Jim , at ceremony@takachsin.net for more information.

OA Chapter Ceremony Team

This year looks to be a busy year. We already have four ceremony requests for February. We need the help of interested youth; we need YOUR help. These ceremonies make events special and can really add inspiration to younger scouts. The AOL ceremony would be especially awe-inspiring to young cub scouts. Come and support your Chapter (and 18) and the OA. Do not wait until the last minute. Sign up NOW so we can Be Prepared.
Those OA youth members within the units asking for a ceremony  are in a great position to help.
Contact the Chapter Ceremonies Chairman, Jim , at ceremony@takachsin.net for more information.  Youth interested in participating in ceremonies should contact Jim and attend chapter meetings.  This is a great way to get involved with ceremonies prior to helping at the lodge level.
